Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2015 show was all about seduction. “It’s a confident, strong woman—it’s Diane von Furstenberg’s woman,” explains hair stylist Orlando Pita. “Here, we’re doing more her evening life, where she pulls her hair back, scrapes it back with her fingers, and then puts it in this bun that has pieces falling down.” By blowing out hair with TRESemmé’s Get Sleek Blow Dry Balm, Pita created a sleek base. He then pinned the bun loosely and added a “perfectly undone” finish with Platinum Strength hairspray. Makeup artist Pat McGrath gave models perfect, glowing skin, and dark, smoky eyes with layered brown and black pencils and Max Factor False Lash Effect Volume Mascara (available July 2015). The pretty look extended to the nails, where artist Michelle Saunders did a modern take on the 1940’s half moon manicure, applying Essie’s milky white hue Waltz in a semicircle at the nail bed and layering two coats of bubblegum pink Sugar Daddy on top. “It is a form of nail art,” she says. “But it’s as subtle and elegant as you can go.”
