“It’s all about individuality,” says makeup artist James Kaliardos about the transparent shades at Diane Von Furstenberg. “There’s a strong casting that covers the reality of what our world is now, so we’re using easy, natural tones.” Orlando Pita also went natural, but gently helped Mother Nature by coaxing hair into light waves, then let it fall back behind their shoulders. “She wanted the girls to look the way they did when they came in for casting,” explained Pita. “But when the reality is that they’re coming from another show, we need to help get it there a little.”
