Electric Fashion

A new book delves into Christine Suppes’s vast closets.

Electric Fashion

Some people collect stamps; Christine Suppes collects couture. The most stylish person in Silicon Valley, Suppes has been amassing an eclectic wardrobe since her days as a young fashion writer and editor of the website, fashionlines.com. “Electric Fashion” offers a look into her closet, chock full of Geoffrey Beene, Lanvin, Rodarte, Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Lacroix, Dior, Galliano, Givenchy and more. Photographer Frederic Aranda snaps Suppes wearing her favorite outfits and Ken Downing, the fashion director and senior vice president of Neiman Marcus stores, provides an introduction. If that isn’t enough, the publication of the book will coincide with an exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London opening on May 11, 2015. Go and take a walk in Suppes’s shoes.

“Electric Fashion,” $80, is available for pre-order on amazon.com with a publication date of May 26, 2015.
