Emilia Clarke just made a big decision that will forever attach to her Game of Thrones character, Daenerys Targaryen. Following in the footsteps of her costars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner, who both sported some new ink dedicated to the House of Stark earlier this year, Clarke opted for some Game of Thrones inspired art to go on her arm. The actress permanently declared her love for the Emmy-winning HBO series via tattoo, writing that the artist “made sure this mamma ain’t NEVER forgetting her babies,” in the caption of the photo she shared on Instagram just after getting the ink dedicated to her character’s dragons.

Clarke visited the Los Angeles–based tattoo artist to the stars Doctor Woo, who has specialized in giving finely drawn black-ink tattoos, to all sorts of celebrities, from Brooklyn Beckham to Cara Delevingne. The dragon tattoo on her right arm is not her first time getting inked; Clarke already has a small bee tatted on her left pinky finger (also courtesy of Doctor Woo).

In fact, no one should be at all surprised that Clarke got her dragon tattoo in honor of Daenerys Targaryen (also known as the Mother of Dragons in the universe of the show), because in May 2018 the actress revealed to Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa that she was planning on getting this work done at some point before the end of the year. “I’m going to get a dragon right here, flying away. I think that’s cool,” she told the hosts of Live with Kelly and Ryan.

Even after Game of Thrones ends with its eighth and final season, in spring 2019, Clarke will remain the Mother of Dragons forever.
