Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert Is Pregnant
Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert, the renowned stylist, fashion editor, and contributing W editor, just announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
This is the first child for Battaglia Engelbert and her husband, Swedish real estate mogul Oscar Engelbert. The New York and Sweden-based couple have been married since August 2016, when they celebrated their union with a blow-out wedding in Capri, Italy. There were balloons, opera singers (!), and even a fake W cover (!!). The bride’s wedding wardrobe included custom pieces by Valentino Couture, Alexander McQueen, Thom Browne and Alaia.
The Gio_Graphy author revealed the family’s news on Instagram, where she posted a picture of herself in a black bikini with a hint of a baby bump floating in crystal-clear water. She captioned the pic, “Just the 2 Of us having a swim ?”
Just a week ago, Battaglia Engelbert cleverly hid her pregnancy behind a personalized Bottega Veneta clutch, holding it nonchalantly in front of her stomach.
We can only imagine that once this baby arrives, they will be the absolute chicest infant on the planet. After all, the mom-to-be is a daring fashionista (seriously, take a look at what she wears out and about of a summer’s day), and baby clothes are notoriously adorable. Remember when she and her most fashionable friends threw a dress-up party that included everything from colorful gowns to bat costumes? Oh, to play in mama’s closet…
