Kim’s Eyebrows and Beyoncé’s Latex: Recapping the 2016 Met Gala

It was easy to miss — a modest little party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Here’s what went down while you were sleeping.

Awards, Tony Nominees announced Tuesday morning, while everyone was still sleeping off the Met Gala, include a whole lot of potential prizes (a historic/massive 16, to be precise) for the breakout hip-hop hit Hamilton (better known as the only reason audiences cared about the Best Musical Theater Album award at this year’s Grammys) * as well as [Laura Benanti in She Loves Me*](http://www.wmagazine.com/culture/2016/04/actress-laura-benanti-broadway-she-loves-me-interview/photos/) and Ann Roth for costume design.

Bieber, Justin Maybe copping Kanye’s strategy — the young singer will host a Purpose pop-up shop later this week, selling his (uncannily Pablo-inspired) merch at the VFiles flagship store in Manhattan’s Soho.

Gala, Met Apparently, the only way designers knew how to interpret “Fashion in an Age of Technology” was with robot-inspired silver panels and metallic embellishments. The 2016 Met Gala was a magpie affair.

Kardashian, Kim Bleached her eyebrows. And then filled them in again. Her go-to makeup artist, known by his Instagram handle @MakeupByMario, reveals the looks — and explains something he calls “nontouring.”
