Prabal Gurung Fall 2015’s Great Outdoorsy Types

Inspired by a trip to the Adirondacks, Prabal Gurung asked makeup artist Diane Kendal for MAC to create a healthy, flushed makeup look to go with his sporty Fall 2015 collection. To bring a post-hike glow to the runway, Kendal applied peach blush to the cheekbones and along the temples, with powder highlighter topping the cheeks, brows, and the bridge of the nose. Hairstylist Paul Hanlon for John Frieda imagined this outdoor adventurer would have worn her hair looped in an elastic all day, and so opted to let it fall down with the appropriate subtle crimped dents. Manicurist Jin Soon Choi for Sally Hansen added a simple touch of nail art—rare backstage in the days of all nude nails all the time—using gray and navy polishes that Gurung designed for the brand.
