Fashion designers worry enough about dressing celebrities for awards show red carpets that it’s only proper that they get to attend a few awards shows of their own.

Today the British Fashion Council and sponsor Swarovski announced the nominees for the Fashion Awards 2016 at a brunch at the Soho House West Hollywood in Los Angeles, reflecting the program’s international slant. Nominees spread over nine categories, which include statues both specifically for British talent and international awards. The list includes everyone from current “it” models Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid to upcoming buzzy fashion brands like Molly Goddard, Off-White and Palace.

The list was compiled after the BFC asked 1500 respected members of the industry to put forth their suggestions. The committee included people spread out across 41 countries and from all corners of the industry.

While the awards aim to have global stature, the show naturally will go down in England. The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, December 5th at London’s Royal Albert Hall in front of a planned audience of 4000.

The ceremony itself will also double as a fundraiser for the BFC Education Foundation, a program that provides scholarships for students hoping to study skills integral to the fashion industry.
