Naomi Campbell Throws a Disco Party With Marc Jacobs
When Naomi Campbell say dress up for their disco party, you rise to the challenge — in platform heels, no less. On Thursday night at the Diamond Horseshoe in midtown Manhattan, Bella Hadid, Paris Hilton, Dave Chappelle, and even Reverend Al Sharpton, showed up to celebrate Campbell's new namesake book with Taschen, which costs $1,750 and features 20-plus years of stunning fashion photography by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Richard Avedon, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, and Herb Ritts. The book's pink three-dimensional cover, which is an actual cast of Campbell's now world-famous bust, served as a perfect selfie prop for arriving guests. The supermodel's longtime dance partner Jacobs, played host for the night, calling her one of his "most loyal friends and one of the greatest people I've ever known," in a touching toast. Up-and-coming models danced underneath a blown-up portrait of 45-year-old Campbell proudly posing completely nude — of course — while Campbell herself smoked a cigarette while scrolling Snapchat like it was any another night. To cap things off, the cast of the new musical about the life of Sylvester performed. As the disco legend might have put it, Campbell was indeed "Mighty Real."
