The Best Looks of Milan Fashion Week Fall 2017
Ciao, Milano! Leg three of the marathon that is fashion month kicked off on an extremely high note, with an exuberant yet apocalyptic Gucci show by fashion’s favorite eccentric, Alessandro Michele. With such a bountiful start, expect to see lots of luxe outerwear, deep red hues, and plenty of Italian romanticism as Milan Fashion Week storms ahead. While the peacocks of the street may be putting on a fashion show all their own, Milan is never one to disappoint when it comes to the real fashion. Highlights always include Prada, Versace and Giorgio Armani, while all eyes will be on the Marni show as new creative director Francesco Russo shows his first collection following the departure of Consuelo Castiglioni. Here, the best looks straight from the runways.
Female power was the message at Versace where clothes boldly displayed the words “Love,” “Courage,” and “Equality.” Stand strong, ladies!
Philosophy designer Lorenzo Serafini is quickly becoming known for his dresses. but this mod black and white leopard coat was the real standout on the Fall 2017 runway.
Francesco Risso made his runway debut at Marni today with a colorful collection full of interesting fabric and shapes. All the seats were covered in bubble wrap, elements of which were seen in the clothes like this dress.
With the Oscars only a day away, Tomas Maier closed his beautiful fall show with the perfect red carpet gown.
Alberta Ferretti took us to Venice for her fall collection, incorporating elements of the famed city into the clothes–carnival capes, the Piazza San Marco’s lion embroideries, and gondoliers’ stripes.
Pick a color and stick with it! Red from head to toe at Fendi.
The Gucci girl is a maximalist! Alessandro Michele proves two bags are better than one, and that Gucci girls need Gucci parasols.
Jeremy Scott’s latest collection for Moschino was inspired by the day to day waste we create – taped up cardboard boxes influenced a tan skirt suit, and a plastic dry cleaning bag with the ubiquitous ‘We love our customers’ hanger became a dress. The most colorful, and enticing looks were the ones created from old Vogue fashion editorial tears, featuring past Moschino looks.
Diesel Black Gold’s fall collection is all about an elongated silhouette- like this denim maxi skirt paired with the perfect shearling jacket.
