On Friday night, sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey—the musician duo who caught the attention of Beyoncé with their cover of her song, “Pretty Hurts”—were hard at work at a midtown Manhattan hotel. Earlier in the day, they had selected looks from Jeremy Scott’s expansive archives to wear to the designer’s Spring 2018 show; by 7 p.m., they were in the midst of getting their hair and makeup done (an electric blue shadow for Chloe, 19, and pink for Halle, 17) and chatting animatedly about the television shows they’ve been watching (and will be starring in), the record they’re hoping to finish in the next couple months, and their earlier encounter meeting designer Jeremy Scott himself for the first time. “He’s super cool, so nice, just a really beautiful spirit,” Halle said. “You can feel his energy.” They had selected coordinating, but not matching, looks—for Chloe, a black minidress printed with butterflies and pistols, and for Halle, a motorcycle jacket in the same pattern. “We both have our own individual style and we know what we like,” Chloe explained, “but it all comes together in clothing.” Go behind the scenes as Chloe and Halle prepare for Jeremy Scott Spring 2018 during New York Fashion Week, here.
