For this year’s Directors Issue, Bong Joon Ho, Noah Baumbach, and Quentin Tarantino collaborated with the W team and the photographers Lee Jae Hyuk, Stephen Shore, and Angelo Pennetta to create distinctive cinematic worlds featuring the muses Cho Yeo Jeong, Debbie Harry, and Margaret Qualley and Mikey Madison. Shot on location in Los Angeles and New York City, the productions brought together dozens of fashion editors, makeup artists, videographers, assistants, and a few furry friends. Here, go behind the scenes with some of the people—and animals—who made our three cover stories happen.
