The Look: Touch of 40s—with hair rolls that Moroccan Oil stylist Orlando Pita cautioned were not meant to be tried at home. The retro coif fit the 40s influence in Carolina Herrera’s Fall collection. The nails were painted a gray-based mauve.

The Tricks: Makeup artists patted down the red lipstick with their fingers to make it look like a sheer stain.
