Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes: Ear Candy
The beloved L.A. band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, comprised of Alex Ebert and his ragtag group of musicians, has returned with a self-titled third album. The sincerity and intoxicating joy that have made the indie band so popular remains (case in point: “Let’s Get High,” already a festival favorite), but Ebert and co. have snuck a few meditative tracks into the mix like “This Life,” the somber, powerful closer: “Oh, this life/Yes, this life ain’t for me now/I’m gonna jump in the fire.”
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes is available July 23rd on Vagrant Records.
