For dedicated followers of street style, the news of fashion consultant and editor Caroline Issa’s new line for Nordstrom comes as little surprise. The four collections per year will focus on what Issa describes as “luxe essentials”—think cashmere T-shirts, tailored trousers, soft Italian leather jackets, and printed suiting. “All the prints are inspired by an amazing trip I took to Marrakech last year,” she explains of the initial output. Issa also looked to style icons like Lauren Bacall, Bianca Jagger, and the jet set socialite Slim Keith. Nordstrom Signature x Caroline Issa launches Monday, just in time for the chilly temps surrounding New York Fashion Week. “I hear next week is going to be horrific so I’m just going to be cashmere-d up I think,” she says.
