Is Frank Underwood looking to steal Donald Trump’s spotlight?

About an hour before Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, Netflix’s House of Cards released the very first teaser for season five of the political drama. The brief clip is only 30 seconds long, but still manages to leave a chilling impression. It features a chorus of children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, and shows an upside down American flag flapping against dark and stormy skies. The clip is captioned with four words: “We make the terror.”

Fans of the series will remember that line from the conclusion of season four. After (spoiler) Frank and Claire witnessed domestic terrorists slit the throat of their American hostage, Underwood turns to the camera, stares it right in the eye, and tells us (with Claire at his side): “That’s right. We don’t submit to terror. We make the terror.”

What that “terror” will be, we’ll have to wait to find out: Season five of House of Cards premieres on Netflix on May 20.
