Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lawrence, and Evan Rachel Wood Have All Embraced the Formal Suit For Fall
There’s nothing quite like a show-stopping, intricately designed ball gown on the red carpet. But lately, those show-stopping moments seem to be less about tulle and embellishments, and more about sleek, effortlessly cool suits. Workwear-inspired checks and plaids were a major trend on the Fall 2017 runways, with the menswear-inspired look popping up all over the street style stars of the Spring 2018 collections, including Paris Fashion Week, currently underway in the City of Lights. It was there that Bella Hadid wore a slinky black tuxedo-inspired look to a store opening, while just a few weeks prior, big sister Gigi wore a vibrant jacquard two-piece number to a New York Fashion Week event. In between, Evan Rachel Wood continued her tradition of fabulous suits at the Emmy Awards, this time in a Moschino look that she co-designed with designer Jeremy Scott, and Amber Valetta showed up to the Giorgio Armani show looking impossibly cool in a classic tailored suit by the brand.
