After presiding over Chatsworth, one of England’s grandest houses, for nearly 50 years, the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire has moved to a cottage just down the road, bringing along all her customary style and wit.

Debo furnished her new eight-bedroom home with furniture from the attics of Chatsworth and her own eclectic collection of paintings, drawings photos and sculpture.
