Coney Island After Dark

Photographer: Charlie Rubin

Since his tumultuous stint at the helm of MoCA came to an end, Jeffrey Deitch has been the topic of much speculation. What, pray tell, will the art impresario’s next move be? While rumors have pointed to Red Hook and the Upper East Side, Deitch has popped up in Coney Island with a street-artist fueled installation featuring the likes of Lady Aiko and Retna. Complemented by a slew of pop-up restaurants, the space is a summer oasis on the iconic boardwalk—for as long as it lasts, anyway. Here, a peek at the festivities.
