Last night Kenzo creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon invited friends, family, and Mr. Kenzo Takada himself to celebrate a new series in the Kenzo story. While guests like Adwoa Aboah, Anna Cleveland, and Caroline Issa nibbled on mezze by the Syrian chef Mohammed Elkhaldy, they settled into the live music as they awaited the debut of Kenzo’s La Collection Momento Nº1. The new line is inspired by Takada’s immense archive, and cheerful one at that: floral prints were bright, and every color of the rainbow made an appearance. Post show, guests moved on to desert and debated who the guest performer should be–after-all, it’s not a Kenzo party without some musical intervention. While across town, H&M brought out pop-star, and current face of the brand, The Weeknd; the cool kid crowd was treated to none other than Lauryn Hill. Hill wooed the crowd with throw-back favorites, and Jamie Bochert, Travis Scott, and Jourdan Dunn couldn’t help but groove to her beats. Click through for more scenes from the festive soiree.
