There are few grander settings for a black tie affair than The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Temple of Dendur. Throw in a good cause—pediatric resistant leukemia treatments—and a fashionably-dressed crowd—many sporting the evening’s sponsor, Gucci—and you have the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s annual Spring Ball, held Wednesday night. Chairs Tory Burch, Jamie Tisch, Caryn Zucker and Muffie Potter Aston brought in an elegant crowd who entered the glowing temple for dinner, a live auction by Jamie Niven and rousing performance by Rob Thomas on a special stage surrounded by flickering candles. Afterwards, the likes of Joanne de Guardiola and Eva Lorenzotti danced up a storm to tunes courtesy of DJ D-Nice.
