Michelle Obama Sparkles Amid the Starry Crowd at the White House's Ultimate State Dinner

On Tuesday evening, Barack and Michelle Obama hosted a state dinner in Washington, D.C., honoring Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi — an event that might prove to be the President and First Lady's last such dinner while in the White House. Such a landmark occasion deserves the wardrobe to match, and attendees — ranging from musicians like Gwen Stefani and Chance the Rapper to actors John Turturro and Jerry Seinfeld to designer Naeem Khan — didn't disappoint. (Behind the scenes, the dinner was also a twinkling celebrity affair: Mario Batali manned the kitchen.) At the center of it all was Michelle Obama herself, radiant in a rose-gold, custom Atelier Versace gown from Donatella herself.
