They might not be quite the spectacle of the annual MTV Video Music Awards, but the VMAs’ lesser cousin, the MTV Movie Awards, have their share of excitement — and looks to match. The MTV Movie Awards 2016 were no exception: A clutch of stars running the gamut from established movie presences like Jessica Chastain and Halle Berry to the younger model set like Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner took to the red carpet in bold designs. Cara Delevingne, who appears in the upcoming Suicide Squad adaptation, wore fresh-off-the-runway Fall 2016 Balmain; her co-star Margot Robbie selected Pre-Fall 2016 Alexander McQueen; and Ariana Grande did her best Marilyn Monroe impression in a bubblegum-pink silk Michael Costello gown. Berry opted for a relative unknown in designer Noam Hanoch, the former Citizens of Humanity creative director whose designs have been spotted on Jennifer Lawrence, while Emilia Clarke went more mainstream with a Miu Miu tea-length dress embroidered with sequined faces (purportedly inspired by the upcoming season of Game of Thrones). And these ladies are just the start — see the full rundown of the best MTV Movie Awards red carpet looks, here.
