Scenes From the Streets of New York Fashion Week Fall 2020
With a notably slimmer schedule than in recent years, the fall 2020 season of New York Fashion Week has presented fewer street style opportunities—and therefore more pressure on the industry’s peacocks to up their game. But those who’ve been taking things up a notch for attention are of least interest to the photographer Timothy O’Connell, who prefers to steer clear of the crowds of photographers who huddle outside the entrances of shows. Instead, he seeks out unconventional subjects and moments, catching more recognizable showgoers like Shea Couleé in between poses and documenting the anxiety of those who caused a traffic jam outside of Spring Studios in their haste to see what newly minted CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Christopher John Rogers had to offer.
