Oscar de la Renta Fall 2020 Backstage—Before the 45-Minute Delay
Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia’s collection for fall 2020 consisted of elegant, punchy, color-blocked pieces, and outstanding eveningwear: dresses were printed with Baroque floral patterns, and one black gown in particular, with sequins sewed on to resemble fireworks, could show up soon on a red carpet near you. Shown at the New York Public Library in Midtown Manhattan, coats took center stage—as did Bella Hadid, who wore a red dress and a hot pink cape adorned with feathers to close out the presentation. Despite the distinguished clothing, attendees were miffed at a late start time—the show began at 9:45 p.m., when it was scheduled to open at 9 on Monday night. But hours before all that, models were backstage getting into their first looks, preparing to go down the runway. See all the behind-the-scenes moments, here.
