Oscars 2017: Bold, Sparkling Jewels Stole The Show
At the 2017 Academy Awards, there were plenty of gorgeous, standout gowns to fill the red carpet. However, it wasn’t the dresses that got the most attention, but rather the bold, over-the-top jewels that complimented–and in some instances, overshadowed–them. Karlie Kloss paired her simple Stella McCartney with a Nirav Modi Mughal Choker inspired by the gardens of the ancient Mughal Era featuring diamonds over 38 carats mounted in 18k white gold, while Ruth Negga mastered one of Fall 2017’s biggest trends, the high fashion headband, in an Irene Neuwirth head piece featuring 146.16 carats of Gemfields Mozambican rubies, paired with earrings including 37.18 carats of Gemfields Mozambican rubies and 3.26 carats of diamonds, and the ring showcased a 14.89 carat Gemfields Mozambican ruby framed by white diamond pavé, all set in blackened white gold.
