Beyoncé-Approved Menswear Label Palomo Spain Returns to Madrid For an Even More Sensual Sophomore Show
When Alejandro Gómez Palomo’s eponymous label Palomo Spain debuted at New York Fashion Week: Men’s last season, we quickly dubbed it the most exciting show during the otherwise-lackluster Fall 2017 shows. Hari Nef and Troye Sivan sat front row and Malia Obama attended the after party; since then, the label also earned Beyoncé’s approval (after all, it was a Palomo design that she wore in her first post-pregnancy Instagram, in which she posed in a magenta floral robe with twins Sir and Rumi). This season, Palomo returned to Spanish shores, showing its Spring 2018 menswear collection at Madrid’s Hotel Wellington. It was fitting, then, that the collection was filled with sensual, hotel-themed details: doorknobs on small crossbody bags with dangling signs reading “Come In, Do Me”; an earring designed to look like a key fob printed with “Please Disturb.” Spanish screen actress (and Pedro Almodóvar muse) Rossy de Palma also walked, wearing a muted green silk robe with wide marabou cuffs, while Lindsay Lohan took in the proceedings from the front row.
