Behind the Scenes with All the Legendary Supermodels at Proenza Schouler’s New York Fashion Week Comeback
The New York Fashion Week runway has not seen Gemma Ward since she walked in Oscar de la Renta Fall/Winter 2004, but now she’s back, at Proenza Schouler’s Spring/Summer 2019 show. Ward was joined on the runway by Sasha Pivovarova, Karen Elson, and Amber Valletta—the legendary supermodels of the 90’s and 00’s—as well as contemporary icons-to-be like Kaia Gerber and Binx Walton. After two seasons in Paris, Proenza Schouler’s New York return boasted the collection’s tie-dye shirts, oversized stonewash denim bags, and vests, as well as the models’ minimal beauty looks and slicked back hair on display. It’s officially comeback season.
