About Time

In 1935, Van Cleef & Arpels debuted the Cadenas timepiece, inspired by Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, and designed it to look like a bracelet, because elegant women weren’t supposed to wear wristwatches. I’ve been searching for a vintage one since I fell in love with a friend’s, but now that the watch is being relaunched for spring, my hunt is over.
