Go Inside Rihanna’s Fourth Annual Diamond Ball, With Childish Gambino, Issa Rae, and the Bad Gal Herself
If there is one person in the world to make going out the night after New York Fashion Week seem feasible, let alone fun, it’s Rihanna. The night after she staged her Savage x Fenty experience—calling it a normal runway show would be a disservice—in Brooklyn, the singer, actress, designer, and beauty mogul returned to Manhattan to host her fourth annual Diamond Ball, which benefits the Clara Lionel Foundation, a charity founded by Rihanna in 2012 that supports and funds groundbreaking and effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world. There was no shortage of star power in the room, thanks to the host Issa Rae and the performer Childish Gambino, as well as additional guests like Tiffany Haddish, Paris Hilton, A$AP Rocky, and Joan Smalls. And thanks to both a live and silent auction, plenty of funds were raised for the cause—as Rihanna said, “Now you don’t feel bad for getting drunk.” Here, go inside the wild black-tie affair.
