PARTIES

Just Kids

Free Arts NYC

After Rob Pruitt threw a very grown-up party at the Brant Foundation Art Study Center in May—for which his dealer Gavin Brown hired party buses with stripper poles to carry revelers to the artist’s solo exhibition so they can paw through a flea market stocked with Stephanie Seymour’s gently used couture—he hosted one for the kids. As part of the Free Arts NYC initiative (with support from Tory Burch), 100 homeless children were invited to Greenwich, Connecticut, to make art with mentors like the designer Misha Nonoo—and of course Pruitt, whose glittery pandas and smiley faces always felt a little bit like, well, child’s play.
