STREET STYLE

From Toddlers to K-Pop Stars, Seoul Fashion Week Takes Street Style to the Next Level

In the past few seasons, Seoul Fashion Week has put South Korea on the map as one of the next emerging fashion destinations. For proof, look no further than the city’s booming youth culture scene, which starts earlier than just about any other city at ages five and up. Outside Zaha Hadid’s futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), which is where all the shows take place, one can find cliques of impeccably dressed toddlers and their equally spiffy parental guardians. Other, much older, South Korean street style stars consistently demonstrate a love of streetwear brands, bold prints, and colors. Plus, uncanny knockoffs of brands like Vetements, Supreme, and Off-White are everywhere you turn. You also can’t miss the gaggle of rebellious male models covered in tattoos, and of course, flawless K-Pop stars followed by hordes of awestruck fans. Here, see all the best street style looks from Seoul Fashion Week Fall 2017.
