Fast and Chic: Bathing Beauties
The sensual, sun-kissed images by Harri Peccinotti and Hans Feurer, two fashion photographers famous for their Pirelli Calendar work in the ’60s and ’70s, are notable not so much for what they expose but for what they suggest. Whether showing a girl licking a Popsicle or squinting into the lens, they are invariably ripe with expectation. Seemingly taking a cue from such iconic photographs, the new beach look is playing a provocative game of peekaboo. From backless tanks to plunging one-pieces, this is swimwear to stimulate the senses.
