STYLE EVOLUTION

Like Girls‘s Shoshanna, Zosia Mamet Has Never Been Afraid to Get A Little Bold with Her Style

Like her character Shoshanna in Girls, the HBO show whose final season finale on Sunday practically marks the ends an era, the actress Zosia Mamet has never been afraid to stand out with her looks—even if she’s never exactly gone as far as Shosh’s Tokyo get-ups, from a latex nurse uniform to a t-shirt reading “Je Ne Sais Blah.” In fact, Mamet’s sartorial evolution can practically be charted through the various Girls premieres throughout the years, from her simple babydoll dresses for seasons one and two—”I almost threw up in the car because it was my first time doing red carpet,” she told W at the time—to the red leather Alexander McQueen she exuded confidence in for season three. Of course, Mamet has a life outside the show, too—one full of Marc Jacobs shows and Miu Miu screenings where, over the years, Mamet has stepped out in all manner of pajamas-like suits, bubblegum pink skirts, and jumpsuits, not to mention hair colors ranging from gray to platinum blonde. Take a look back at her best looks, both pre- and post-Shoshanna, with her style evolution, here.
