Alexander Wang Fall 2015’s Goth Chicks

“The inspiration was Kiss, heavy metal,” explains makeup artist Diane Kendal of the Alexander Wang Fall 2015 beauty look. “We wanted to make the girls look quite gothic.” Kendal created a pale complexion with NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer and Sheer Glow Foundation and darkened the eyes with the Vientiane Matte Multiple, the Aigle Noir Velvet Shadow Stick (new for Fall 2015) and Eye Paint in a dark steel hue called Transvaal in the creases and corners of the eyes. Manicurist Michelle Saunders followed suit on nails with a light grey Essie color called Jazz, topped by Matte About You. “It’s ghostly,” she explains. As for the hair, “We’ve got very greasy, kind of stringy, shiny hair,” says Guido Palau, who used copious amounts of Redken’s Diamond Oil and 23 Super Strength Finish Spray on the lengths of the middle parted hair. “She’s nighttime,” he says.
