It was only a matter of time before the Parisian jewelry designer Aurelie Bidermann opened a store in New York. “I love the city’s energy and spirit,” Bidermann says. “It’s a real dream come true.” But, as any good jewelry designer knows, the setting had to be perfect. For the interior of her SoHo store, at 265 Lafayette Street, Bidermann opted for a minimalist palette with hits of turquoise and yellow; outside, is a mural she commissioned Spanish artist REMED. “I had seen some of his work and always adored the colors he used,” she says. “When I met him, it was an instant connection. I always try to incorporate color in my life whether in my designs, wardrobe, or living space and this mural truly reflects that.”
