Wrist Management

Chunky bracelets, some of them watches, make for brilliant focal points.

If there was ever a way to make geometry glamorous, this is it: sturdy, shapely bracelets covered in gems. Take, for instance, Vhernier’s studded bangles, which can be appreciated as much for their glitzy aesthetic—various combinations of white gold, diamonds and ebony—as for the dual statement they make, both tough and chic, appealing to the uptown crowd and downtown denizens alike. And talk about double duty—a bold bracelet is all the more enticing when it also tells time. David Yurman’s classic cable style, and flashier bejeweled versions from Ebel and de Grisogono (diamond, and ruby- and diamond-encrusted, respectively) represent the perfect marriage of frivolity and function. They certainly make a wrist worth watching.
