Let’s face it: Randall’s Island Park isn’t exactly a common stomping ground for most of the boldfacers attending the US Frieze Art Fair this weekend. To the rescue is a pop-up Soho House—open to members and special invited guests—and outpost of Cecconi’s, the classic Italian hot spot with boites in West Hollywood, Miami and London, whose doors will welcome VIPs.

Soho House regulars will appreciate Bombay Sapphire drinks in a space of red bar stools, velvet sofas and antique carpets (transported from the permanent Soho House) while those hitting up Cecconi’s can nibble on Venetian dishes, sharing plates, cicchetti and even afternoon tea, all in a luxurious environment of chandeliers and black and white striped floors. Already during the fair’s preview day on Thursday, the likes of Chuck Close, Cecilia Dean, Yvonne Force Villareal and Kim Cattrall checked out the two venues. Sure beats a Starbuck’s run.
