As expected, there have been notably fewer celebrities in Milan this season. But of course, the paparazzi didn’t come away totally empty handed, as some stars got paid to appear, others had projects to promote, and others (presumably) came for the fashion itself.
Scarlett Johansson](http://www.wmagazine.com/celebrities/2008/03/scarlett_johansson_natalie_portman) drew a crowd of about 1,000 when she appeared at Milan department store La Rinascente Sunday night. The actress, who’s the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s new cosmetics line, breezed in with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana and posed for photos in front of the makeup counter.
Elizabeth Hurley got the cameras going at the Roberto Cavalli show. But it wasn’t all about old-school glamour for the star, who posed for photos with seatmate Milla Jovovich. The former Versace girl told reporters she was excited about her foray into, yes, reality TV. (She’ll be living on an organic farm in Gloucestershire a la The Simple Life.) She added that she’ll also be “singing and dancing.”
Eva Mendes joined the fashion pack Saturday night at a rooftop party for A magazine. Mendes was there to promote her film Live! which opens in Italy on March 6. “I have just come from Rome where I was seeing friends,” said Mendes. Her next stop is Paris Fashion Week.
