Director Christopher Nolan has done the impossible: he got Harry Styles to cut his hair, and simultaneously capture an audience based on the cross-section of One Direction fans and World War II history buffs.

With Nolan’s latest film, Dunkirk, whose trailer dropped Wednesday, Styles fans can see why Harry had stepped momentarily out of the music spotlight. The two-minute trailer, which dropped Wednesday, paints the picture of the “Dunkirk Evacuation,” in which more than 300,000 Allied British, Fresh and Belgian soldiers were able to escape the German Army — a pivotal moment in the war for the Allies, Entertainment Weekly reports. Styles can be seen in an army uniform, sitting on a beach alongside fellow soldiers, and later in the trailer struggling under the water, scenes sure to send teens flocking to the theaters.

The film, also starring Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy and Mark Rylance, will be released on July 21, 2017.
