Dylan Lauren’s sweets mecca, Dylan’s Candy Bar, is finally living up to its name. This fall an actual bar will open on the third floor of the fashion heiress–turned–Willy Wonkette’s flagship in Manhattan. During “Sweet Hour”—starting at 6:30 p.m.—patrons can kick back on peppermint-swirl stools and sip insulin-raising beverages like Gummy Bear Martinis and Rock Candy Cosmopolitans. Lauren believes a watering hole is just the thing to complement her candy shop. “A lot of people say, ‘You’re a kids’ store.’ But we’re really not—our average customer is about 25,” she says before adding, “We will definitely not allow kids in the [bar] area.”
