When she’s not walking runways in New York, London, Milan or Paris, model Hanne Gaby Odiele is trotting—and often dancing—around the global party circuit. Chic, wearable, shoes are, as one might imagine, essential to her girl-on-the-go style. And so she’s dreamed up a collection of sleek slip-ons and cork-soled creepers in collaboration with footwear designer Matt Bernson. “If Hanne’s shoes hurt, she’d be like, ‘What the f—, Matt!’” the designer joked on Tuesday night at a party celebrating their collaboration. Fellow models Grace Mahary, Kasia Struss, and Mirte Maas were in attendance at the party, which Bernson hosted in his Tribeca boutique. “My inspiration was a lot of my friends,” says Odiele, who invited fellow mannequins Tilda Lindstam, Charlotte Free, and Ju Xiaowen to star alongside her in the collection’s campaign. “I thought: if they had a to-go shoe for the summer, how would that shoe look?” Cute and comfy, it seems.
