Over the past six decades, Karl Lagerfeld has served as creative director of Chloe, Chanel, Fendi, and his own eponymous collection. This week, Karl Lagerfeld: Modemethode, which translates to “Fashion Method”—an exhibition curated by the designer’s muse Lady Amanda Harlechopens at the Art and Exhibition Hall in Germany, bringing together creations from all four houses. Over 100 full looks in total from each of these brands are included in the thoughtful retrospective, alongside countless accessories, illustrations and photographs. “I am not a museum curator and not a fashion historian,” said Harlech. “I followed my intuition and chose what seemed beautiful to me. I wanted to evoke the spirit of each house with their unique design processes. I wanted to show Karl’s genius.”

“Karl Lagerfeld: Modemethode” is on exhibition from March 28th to September 13th, 2015, at the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, Emil-Nolde-Straße 11, 53113 Bonn.
