Lulu Frost, a jewelry brand which frequently draws inspiration from heirloom and vintage pieces, has created a special edition cameo charm necklace in collaboration with author Kelly Florio Kasouf’s second book. The necklace factors prominently in the plot of The Super Adventures of Sophie and the City: Grand Central Escapades, geared toward the eight-and-up crowd. The second Sophie installment finds her on a time-travel voyage through the Twenties, with appearances by a handful of designers like Paul Poiret and Christian Dior. Sophie identifies her grandmother on Ellis Island because she’s wearing a family heirloom—the cameo necklace.
The necklace isn’t the only collaboration to spring from the book: there’s also an Oscar de la Renta dress that Sophie wears throughout the book, debuting at Bergdorf Goodman and the designer’s Madison Avenue store early next year. Budding fashionistas take note: this makes for chic (and endearing) bedtime reading.
