Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari reinterpret Macbeth for the Metropolitan Opera.
As a collective, artists Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari have taken on a wide range of projects, including putting out the independent publication Toilet Paper, creating trippy ad campaigns for brands like Kenzo, and reinventing Linda Evangelista for W’s November 2009 art issue. Their latest collaboration applies their eccentric aesthetic to Macbeth, as part of the Metropolitan Opera’s new series Gallery Met Shorts. Flying knives, death by hot tub, and catfights await in a brief adaptation unlike any other. Watch it here:
