Madeline Weinrib pops up at Barneys.

Madeline Weinrib

As the granddaughter of the founder of ABC Carpet & Home, the souklike New York design emporium, Madeline Weinrib developed far-flung tastes early on. “Ethnic, contemporary, old, and new—I’m inspired by many different things,” says the home-accessories maven, who this month brings a pop-up shop to Barneys New York. A World of Influence, open through November, will offer an array of items picked up on her travels or custom made by artisans around the globe. These include Weinrib’s pillows, rugs, and textiles, the latter upholstered onto found furniture; Moroccan side tables; Uzbek serving ware; as well as vessels by Munnu the Gem Palace and vases from De Vera. A mix as eclectic as Weinrib herself.
