Le Donne della Vucciria

On Thursday, during an intimate dinner and screening at the 2013 Venice Film Festival attended by Marina Abramovic, Kathryn Bigelow, Carey Mulligan, Freida Pinto and more, Miuccia Prada premiered Le Donne della Vucciria, a short film by the Palestinian director Hiam Abass—the newest installment of “Women’s Tales,” the Miu Miu series highlighting the creativity of female directors. Set in the Italian city of Palermo, which Abbass described as a “magical universe,” Le Donne della Vucciria follows a dressmaker who quickly observes the power music can have on clothing.
