Paris Hilton is known for many things--including pink Juicy tracksuits, bedazzled cell phones and, of course, inventing the selfie--but her long, platinum blonde extensions are her most signature and consistent attribute.

On Tuesday night, Hilton finally debuted a new hairstyle. Sort of. At Paper Magazine's runway benefit for the Make-a-Wish Foundation in Los Angeles, the 36-year-old socialite debuted a darker color. The perfect blend of blonde and brunette, Hilton's long, sleek waves were a much more toned-down version of her signature look--and felt perfect for a California blonde in fall. To compliment her new lowlights, Hilton kept the rest of her ensemble fairly simple, wearing an off-the-shoulder black Self-Portrait dress with neutral eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip.

This isn't the first time Hilton has experimented with a darker hair color. Over the summer, she posted a photograph of herself on Instagram with the hashtag #BrunettesHaveFunToo. (It turned out she was wearing a wig for a movie role, and had not dyed her hair.) Perhaps she discovered that brunettes have more fun, and Hilton plans to join the dark side permanently.
