No more. Sandro has recently opened its first US outpost in—where else?—New York’s West Village. (They’ve also launched stateside e-commerce.) Comprising two conjoined boutiques, one for men and one for women, the steel, copper, and blonde wood spaces provide a perfect foil for Sandro’s gamine-meets-tomboy garments, like plaid blazers with leather lapels, colorblock silk blouses, and leather bombers. Accessories like leopard print envelope clutches and East Village-ready leather studded sneakers round out the offerings.
“The Sandro woman is active, modern and feminine,” explains the brand’s co-founder Evelyne Chetrite. “She is dressing for her own pleasure.”
