New York designer Sarah Flint is known for chic, wearable footwear—like kitten heels and flats—that feel fresh and modern. Appropriately, the 25-year-old has personal style on par with her burgeoning brand. Here, Flint offers her tips on where to shop, how to dress for evening, and the secret to holiday shopping.
Define your style in three words:
Timeless, feminine, elegant.
Skinny jeans, boyfriend blazer with a Sarah Flint kitten heel or an A-line dress with booties or a sandal.
A pair of vintage Max Mara high-waist trousers, my Lisa flats, a black snakeskin belt my mother bought in Italy when she was 16.
Flats or kitten heels.
The most incredible Borsalino hat I bought in Milan this fall. An antique filigree gold ring my sisters bought for me. My enormous black Fendi 2Jours tote that holds everything including shoe changes.
My go-to event look is anything amazing and vintage, like the black Valentino gown I have. Going out more casually, I revert back to skinny jeans, a t-shirt and a boyfriend blazer dressed up with a higher bootie.
